The program offers additional training for shelter staff to increase the quality of care within shelters and life-saving capacity of their communities. Up to two staff in leadership roles per shelter will participate. This program is modeled after the highly successful Maddie’s UW/UCD Shelter Medicine Fellowship which is open to veterinarians.
